Project Highlights

Overview

TimberRise is providing fee-development services on behalf Triad Development to support a rezone process on behalf of the future development of 58 market-rate, townhomes within the City of Wentachee. These units will command sweeping views of the Columbia River and the City of Wenatchee located in the valley below. The region boast +200 days of sunshine per year and incredible access to recreation within minutes from the project site.

Highlights

The Wenatchee Condo project is part of a 167-acre master planned community located along the western boundary of the city limits. The project will provide much needed housing density and diversity of housing options to the broader Wenatchee community. The project allows housing growth to be congregated on a smaller footprint while protecting and maximizing surrounding open space and critical habitat. The choice of using mass timber as the structural material for the buildings reflects the conservation approach of the broader project. Mass timber utilizes sustainably harvested wood to manufacture beams and panels capturing carbon embodied in the wood within the structure and preventing it from being released into the atmosphere. Many of the trees harvested to manufacture mass timber are cut as part of thinning and forest fire abatement efforts that are of significant economic and environmental value to rural eastern Washington communities such as Wenatchee.

Future residents will benefit from the adjacency of the units to the Wenatchee Foothills trail network offering hiking, biking and horseback riding on land that is permanently conserved by the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust.
